07-07-2018: PHPA-I&II and few well-wishers, including from UNICEF, Liberia supports the construction of a glass house for KEYPAILING Project, Limbukha.
His Holiness the 70th Je Khenpo, in his infinite kindness for all sentient beings in general and for the welfare of old monks in particular, has established the Gyenzhug Keypai Ling (Dratshang Elderly Centre) on a hillock in Limukha, Punakha overlooking Punakha and Wangdue valleys.
The Centre requested PHPA for construction of a Glass House where the retired monks can rest in groups and receive guests. A Glass House has been designed for this purpose with the architecture in consonance with the existing structures at the Centre: it is estimated to cost Nu. 1.3 million. The drawing and estimates have been contributed by Druk Green Consultancy. The Glass House is being constructed through voluntary contributions from the employees of PHPA-I&II and few well-wishers, including from UNICEF (Liberia), M/s WAPCOS, M/s Gammon India Ltd and M/s SK Systems, amounting to Nu. 0.86 million. Some of the main contractors, viz. M/s Hindustan Construction Company Limited, M/s Gammon India Limited and M/s Jaiprakash Associates Limited have made material contributions for the construction of the Glass House.
The expected completion date is September 2018.
The progress of the construction shall be regularly updated.
